another visitor

aunt rachael visited this week. she got to hear lots of crying, but as an experienced nanny, it didn't even phase her. she still loves her little nephew!

visitors

we had a weekend full of visitors: first aunt brianne (who, i regret to say, didn't get a chance tp get her picture taken with jacob). she was here from thursday to friday, and uncle kevin came on friday.

grandma and grandpa mclane came on saturday and stayed through monday. thankfully, grandma is good at remembering to take pictures! jacob has been practicing his smile and is getting pretty good at it!

just chillin'

we're enjoying these last couple weeks of mommy and jacob time before mommy has to return to work part-time. this is what jacob does all day...just lounging around, sleeping and smiling (in between eating and filling diapers, of course).

rain, rain, go away?

we've had 5 straight days of 90+ degree weather, and only about 1/2 inch of rain in the last 3 weeks. my Mother's Day mum is not appreciating this weather. :( and i thought i was doing good keeping it alive. at least the leaves are surviving... the flowers... not so much.

big boy

jacob had his 1 month check-up on friday, the day before he turned 5 weeks. weighing in at 11 pounds and 8 oz, and measuring almost 24 inches, Dr. Price said he's a healthy boy (and commented that he is the size of a 3 month-old). he is in the 95th percentile for height and weight. he's growing too fast! they don't lie when they say they grow up fast. :)

we're celebrating our first father's day. well, jesse is, but cydney gets to participate...Smokey Bones! :) jacob behaved while mommy and daddy got to enjoy some delicious BBQ.
