jacob's first boogey (compliments of daddy)

this was jesse's idea to post this- i just have to put that disclaimer on here. this is what happens when mommy is at work and jesse has jacob for the day :)

jacob's wounds have healed quickly- he had a little reaction to one of his shots, but the doctor told us to expect it. and now he's healthier than before!

and a picture of him standing...he likes to stand so much that he fusses when we sit him down. what a goofy boy!

happy birthday jackson!

sunday was jackson's birthday....yet the day somehow revolved around jacob. hmm...sorry jackson. but he did get his nails trimmed, much to his dismay (see photo). jackson is now 3 years old, or is it 21?

today jacob had his 2 month appointment with the doctor. he weighed in at 14 pounds 8 oz, and 25 inches long! he's still in the 95th percentile for both height and weight. todays visit also included shots...3 of them. mommy didnt watch, you all know how i am with needles! but thankfully daddy was with us, and got to help the nurses with the screaming baby. not a fun thing to hear your child cry from pain. keep telling myself that the sound of that scream far outweighs him getting any of the sicknesses he was vaccinated for. i attached pictures of the soccer ball bandaids on jacob's thighs, and a picture of a happier baby.

we're getting ready for a busy month of august: more visitors, a trip to the 'burgh, a wedding in cincy, and a wedding in colorado. hope jacob handles it ok. mom and dale come home from belize in less than a week...can't wait to talk to mom again! miss you guys!

we had jesse's parents and his aunt martha in town for the weekend. lots of lovin for jacob- it tired him out! :)

happy 4th!

no big plans for our 4th. we're hanging out, cleaning, playing with jacob, and cydney is getting ready for her first day back to work on thursday the 5th, after 7 weeks maternity leave. jacob is sitting up pretty well. he's getting bigger! we weighed him in at 13 lbs and 4 oz on sunday.

my mom and dale left for Belize early this morning. they will be there for 1 month. dale is helping lead a continuing education course for the teachers at Cornerstone Presbyterian School in northern Belize. keep them in your prayers. you can read more about the schools at http://www.presbyterianschoolsbelize.com/

happy birthday candace!

jacob's first birthday party...not his own, of course. sunday was candace's birthday and they had us over for some steaks. lee and jesse decided to throw a fireworks show for us. lets just say jackson didn't appreciate it as much as we did. and they both still have all 10 fingers. :)
