welcome to the 21st century

the pié family has finally arrived in the 21st century. we just got our internet installed yesterday- 1st time having internet in our 6 years of being married. (yes, happy anniversary to us on june 7th) i guess it was about time.

and now we're experiencing internet shock- wondering how we ever lived without it. kind of like cell phones- how did we survive before all this technology?!

so, here's to more blog posts now that i won't have to squeeze in internet time on my lunch breaks at work! (right, j baker?)

in other news, kate achieved a couple milestones today...
  • crawling! (for nothing other than the TV remote!),
  • pulling to a sitting position from laying down,
  • and eating her 1st french fry (ok, maybe it was technically her 2nd- she had a sweet potato fry at dinner a couple nights ago and lah-oved it!)
and i'd love to share this moment i caught on camera, of jacob trying out his newly learned skills of putting on shoes. notice he picks mommy's shoes and not daddy's, which are right beside him. oh jacob....some day the boys will make fun of you for stuff like this!

Good job on the post! Thanks for fulfulling your promise! I figure it is only fair that I comment on it now! :) Yay for Kate! She is getting so big! Hopefully Jacob will grow out of wearing mommy's shoes before the boys make fun of him!! And let's not even talk about lunch breaks and work...it will only make me sad :(

Crawling?? Now it's Kieran's turn to be jealous! Maybe we should get them together sometime so he can see how it's done. :o) Oh, and welcome to life on the internet!

Okay, so Jacob put on my shoes a couple weeks ago and was walking around in them, but I didn't take a picture cause I thought Jesse would get mad:) We'll work on him walking around in Lee's shoes:)

:) ...Mommy's are probably easier to put on. It made me think of Trevor at one holiday gathering trying on and walking around in almost every woman's shoes at one point or other. Not to worry; He's a pretty tough guy now at the age of 5 (or something)-- lost track. Thanks to Skype we got to see her roll, and try to crawl from sitting (struggling much to free her right knee from under her). I don't have to imagine it any longer. Love being in the Jetson's future! --Love to all.
